Christchurch Metro Cricket was formed in 2012 following the amalgamation of the Canterbury Cricket Christchurch Club and Youth Cricket departments and the Christchurch Suburban Cricket Association.
The organisation has been established to provide a strategic focus for club and youth cricket in Christchurch and form a close partnership with the Christchurch Junior Cricket Association to foster cricket in Christchurch.
