The seventh Annual General Meeting of the Christchurch Metro Cricket Association was held on October 17 at the Umpires pavilion at Hagley Park.
The members were quick to acknowledge the outstanding contribution of outgoing President Alec Astle, and offered a warm welcome to the incoming President Lesley Murdoch.
Incumbent directors Ric Horsfall and Fergus Smith, who retired by rotation, were both returned for a further three year term, and they were joined on the Board by Krish Macgregor. Krish was nominated by the Richmond Cricket Club and is an experienced club cricket administrator and runs her own graphic design company.
Existing board members Aaron Johnstone, Bruce Findlay and Rob Dixon will also continue in their roles.
Chairman Ric Horsfall delivered a summarising address, pointing out that cricket was going through rapid change and that both Christchurch Metro Cricket and its members needed to adapt and keep up with the play.
