Tyler Lortan from the Heathcote Cricket Club, has been in electric form in the OEM Audio Premiership, so much so, that he has set a new run-scoring record for runs scored in a one-day campaign after just five of the seven rounds of pool play.
The previous mark of 546 was set less than 12 months ago by Bevon-John Jacobs for Sydenham, who swept aside the previous records with an outstanding season in 2022-23, earning a call-up to the Canterbury Kings, where he has demonstrated his talent and power hitting in the Super Smash.
In five innings for Heathcote, Lortan has scored 165, 57, 144, 92 and 100* to already have 558 runs and with two more round robin games and potential finals still to go, Lortan has the opportunity to put up a figure that could be out of reach in the future.
